About Me
MY BACKGROUND
I'm a high school senior attending VLA. I had transferred to VLA during the second semester of my junior year, and although I struggled quite a bit with the changes, I do like it a lot.
I have seven siblings—six brothers and one sister—and I wouldn't trade them for the world. My sister probably feels differently, but through this pandemic I feel as though we've gotten closer. She may have become one of my best friends. Although it does get frustrating always being with her and my other siblings, there's never a boring day, and I'd rather have that.
One of my favorite thing to do is to spend time with my sister-cousins and my sister. Around the end of my sophomore year, some of my cousins, my sister and I grew really close. We came together over our love for K-Pop. There was, and still is, much to love and to discuss within the music genre, and our favorite thing to do was to watch and learn the dances. Soon enough, we all came together to make our own imaginative group of our own. I wasn't the best I could be emotionally during that time, so all of the moments I had with them have become very special memories, core memories really, to me.
Another thing I really enjoy is watching movies. One
movie I really like—although I enjoy talking about it more
than watching it—is Inside Out. What I like the most
about it, is the portrayal of emotions in the mind and how
they've become personified. I've once read somewhere that
after this movie came out, a lot of psychologists and
therapists used the characterization of the emotions to help
children sort their own and talk about their feelings and
emotions. I even used this movie as a basis to draw my
very own emotions; I narrowed down the main emotions
within me, colored them, and drew them to how I saw fit.
It was something I did in my free time, and I enjoyed it a
lot. I've inserted two of my characters the side, they are my
Sadness and my Joy. I hope you like them!
